Devlog 5 - Week 12


This devlog focuses on game improvement and testing. 

I have developed a simple google forms to enable users to test specific elements of the game and to provide feedback for improvement.

The game project initially focused on a traditional WASD character movement but that resulted in the player being slow to orient in or to fire on enemies.

I then found another part of the tutorial where the direction of the character could be determined by the use of the mouse, which greatly speed of the targeting of the player.

I also followed some more advanced parts of the tutorial and added in powerups and sound effects which further add to the game world.

Feedback:

- Some different monster types would help create a more immersive and detailed game world.

- the cop sprite could be changed to reflect the weapon type and the addition of a shield.  The shield could also have its own health bar.
